Sports Person of the Year
Panashe Madanha of Adelaide United Football Club won the 2024 Africa Day Sports Person of the Year at Thebarton Community Centre at the Africa Day Awards & Dinner Gala. Panashe Madanha is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Adelaide United. Born in Zimbabwe, he represents Australia at youth level. He is the first Zimbabwe-born player to feature in the A-League. Celebrating Africa Day through dance and drinks with friends
South Sudan and Somalia play in the AFRICA DAY SOCCER CUP FINAL at Kings Reserve Oval (Thebarton Community Centre) in the City of West Torrens. Live Music, DJ, Food Stores, Market Stores, BBQ,s, Shisanyama, Nyamachoma and Kukuchoma will be available. The ground will be open with other activities happening from 13000 and the match will start at 3PM.
